רישום משפטי (#31) מתוך פנקס בית דין רבני בקהיר, כתוב בעברית ומתוארך לא' בניסן ה'תמ"ג (1683). מקום: קהיר. (מסמך #31) רשימת עיזבון והסכם ירושה בין חביבה, אלמנתו של משה ג'וואני, לבין חמותה שמחה בת שלמה הלוי כאתב. ההסכם מפרט נכסים שונים של המנוח ואת אופן העברתם מרשותן של שמחה וחביבה לידי ילדיה של חביבה — יעקב ואסתר. בשורות הפתיחה מצוין כי האפוטרופסות של שתי הנשים על היתומים נתמכת גם בחג'ה (תעודה) שהוצאה מבית דין עות'מאני של קאדי. חביבה מופיעה גם בארבעת הרישומים הקודמים באותו פנקס בית דין (מסמכים #27–30).
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#31) in a court register/pinqas from a Rabbanite beit din in Cairo (on f. 8r of BL OR 6356). In Hebrew. Location: Cairo. Dated 1 Nisan 5443 AM, which is 1683 CE. (Document #31) Estate inventory and inheritance agreement between Ḥabība, widow of Moshe Jawwānī, and her mother-in-law Simḥa bt. Shelomo ha-Levi Kātib. The agreement lists various possessions of the deceased and the process by which they will pass from Simḥa's and Ḥabība's possession to the latter's children Yaʿaqov and Esther. The entry also mentions in the opening lines that the pair's guardianship over the orphans is dually supported by a ḥujja from an Ottoman qadi court. Ḥabība also appears in the previous four entries of the same court register (documents #27-30). MCD.
