(מסמך מס' 30) שותפות השקעה הקשורה לקרן אפוטרופסות ליעקב ואסתר, היתומים של משה ג'ואני/ג'וואני — שאלמנתו חביבה עודנה בחיים ומוכרת מרישומים קודמים באותו פנקס בית דין (מסמכים מס' 27–29). בשם הקטנים, חביבה וסמחה (הסבתא מצד האב של הילדים) השקיעו בעבר סכום גדול של 75,000 מדין אצל שלמה הלוי סכנדרי ויוסף ב"ר יצחק הלוי. מטרת הרישום הנוכחי היא לתאר כיצד אם הילדים והסבתא קיבלו בחזרה 15,000 מדין משלמה הלוי סכנדרי ומיוסף ב"ר יצחק הלוי. הסכום מפורט לאחר מכן לפי סעיפים, כגון: דירה בדרב אללולויה, תרומות לפסח, תשלומים מסוג כלשהו הקשורים לחלואן(?), ועוד רבים אחרים.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#30) in a court register/pinqas from a Rabbanite beit din in Cairo (on f. 8r of BL OR 6356). In Hebrew. Location: Cairo. Dated 1 Nisan 5443 AM, which is 1683 CE. (Document #30) Investment partnership connected to an apotropos (guardianship) fund for Yaʿaqov and Esther, the orphans of Moshe Juwwānī/Jawwānī—whose widow Ḥabība is still alive and known from previous entries in the same court register (documents #27-29). On behalf of the young children (קטנים), Ḥabība and Simḥa (the children's paternal grandmother) previously invested a large sum of 75,000 medin with Shelomo ha-Levi Skandarī and Yosef b. Yiṣḥaq ha-Levi. The purpose of this entry is to recount how the children's mother and grandmother had received 15,000 medin back from Shelomo ha-Levi Skandarī and Yosef b. Yiṣḥaq ha-Levi. The sum is then annotated on an itemized basis, such as: an apartment on Darb al-לולויה, Passover donations, payments of some kind connected to Ḥelwān(?), among many others. MCD.
