מכתב מיחזקאל בן נתנאל, השוהה בקליוב, אל אחיו חלפון בן נתנאל באלכסנדריה. צדו השמאלי של המכתב, וכן חלקיו העליון והתחתון, קצוצים. יחזקאל חיפש עבור חלפון אריג מסוים (אלחסיניה), אך לא מצא אותו בפוסטאט. הוא עמד לרכוש פריט נחות יותר מאדם כלשהו, אלא שאותו אדם העלה זה עתה את מחירו ב-1.5 דינרים; יחזקאל חשב שחלפון יוכל לרכוש פריט זה ממילא באלכסנדריה. סוחרי האריגים (אלבזאזין) אמרו לו שהאריג המבוקש נמצא רק בקהיר. המכתב מזכיר גם כמה משימות שיחזקאל מבצע מטעם אבו אסחאק. נזכרת רכישת משי במחיר 12 עבור שני קנטארים (רקטו, שוליים ימניים, שורה 2). מוזכרים קוץ ועידאב (שורה 1), אך השורה קצוצה. המכתב מתוארך ליום שישי, ז' בשבט [ד'תת"ק], שהוא 29 בדצמבר 1139. נכתב על גבי מסמך מדינתי ממוחזר בכתב ערבי. Princeton Geniza Project description: IB IV, 56 (ח63). Letter from Yeḥezqel b. Netanel, in Qalyūb, to his brother Ḥalfon b. Netanel, in Alexandria. The left side of the letter and the top and bottom are cut off. Yeḥezqel has been looking for a certain textile (al-ḥasīniya) on Ḥalfon's behalf, and had not found it in Fusṭāṭ. He was about to buy an inferior item from someone who, however, had just increased his price by 1.5 dīnārs; Yeḥezqel thought Ḥalfon could buy this item anyway in Alexandria. The textile artisans/merchants (al-bazzāzīn) said that the textile he sought could only be found in Cairo. The letter also mentions some tasks that Yeḥezqel is carrying out on behalf of Abū Iṣḥaq. Purchase of silk at 12 for 2 qinṭārs (recto, right margin, l. 2). Mentions Qūṣ and ʿAydhāb (l. 1), but the line is cut off. Dated: Friday, 7 Shevaṭ [4900 AM], which is 29 December 1139 CE.
