מכתב מסעדאן בן ת'אבת הלוי הבגדאדי באלכסנדריה, אל אברהם בן מעטי בתלמסאן. מתוארך: ט"ו באייר, ככל הנראה בשנת 1139. הכותב מוכר משני מכתבים נוספים ששלח לחלפון, ומוזכר במכתב נוסף. עיקרו של המכתב עוסק באכזבתו הגדולה של הכותב מכך שאברהם בן מעטי ואבו יעקוב יוסף בן עזרא לא הגיעו לאלכסנדריה באונייה שבה הפליג חלפון, ולא שלחו עם חלפון את הסחורות שסעדאן הזמין מהם, ואף לא טרחו לשלוח לו מכתב (כפי שחלפון סבר שעשו). המכתב מעיד על כך שחלפון שב מספרד באמצע חודש אייר. Princeton Geniza Project description: IB ח57. Letter from Saʿdān b. Thābit Levi al-Baghdādī, Alexandria, to Avraham b. Muʿṭī, Tlemcen. Dated: 15 Iyar, probably 1139. The writer is known from two letters to Ḥalfon (IB ח85, ח88), and is mentioned in ח89. The main part of the letter deals with the writer's great disappointment that Avraham b. Muʿtī and Abū Yaʿqūb Yosef b. Ezra did not arrive in Alexandria on the ship in which Ḥalfon was traveling and didn't send with Ḥalfon the goods that Saʿdān had ordered from them, or even send him a letter (as Ḥalfon thought they had done). The letter demonstrates that Ḥalfon returned from Spain in the middle of Iyar. This document was not part of Goitein's original list, but was identified as a Ḥalfon document by M. A.
