מכתב בכתב ידו של ר' יהודה הלוי, ששהה בספרד, אל חלפון בן נתנאל הלוי. תאריך המכתב: 1139 לספירה. המכתב כתוב בערבית-יהודית. במכתב מוזכר ספר הכוזרי וכוונותיו של יהודה הלוי לצאת למסע מזרחה. המכתב נדון גם בשני מאמרים של מרדכי עקיבא פרידמן: הראשון, "On Judah ha-Levi and the Martyrdom of a Head of the Jews: A Letter by Ḥalfon ha-Levi b. Nethanel", פורסם בקובץ בעריכת י"ט לנגרמן וי' שטרן בלובן 2007, ועוסק בקביעת תאריך המכתב לשנת 1139. השני, "Judah Halevi on Writing the Kuzari: Responding to a Heretic", פורסם בספרו של אהוד קריניס על הספקנות הפידאיסטית של יהודה הלוי בכוזרי (ברלין 2020), ועוסק בפרשנות הקטע הנוגע לכוזרי ובקריאתן של מילים אחדות במכתב.
