מכתב מגבר אל חמיו לעתיד. בערבית-יהודית. הכותב מביע את התלהבותו מן הקשר העתידי (אִתִּצָאל) שייכרת ביניהם, ומציין כי שמע מן החזן צדקה אבן נֻפַיע (המתווך) שהבת הצעירה, סת אלאהל, ולא הבת הבכירה, היא הכלה המיועדת. נראה כי המכתב נותר בלתי גמור. (המידע מתוך כרטיסיית גויטיין.) לחלופין, ייתכן שהשולח הוא כבר חתנו של הנמען, וצדקה אבן נֻפַיע הוא זה המקווה לשאת אחת מבנות הנמען, ובפרט את הבת הצעירה ("נפגשתי עמו... וראיתי שהוא מעדיף, מצדו, את הבת הצעירה" — וראיתֻהֻ מות'יר לג'נביהי אלאבנה אלצגירה).
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from a man to his prospective father-in-law. In Judaeo-Arabic. Expressing his enthusiasm about the future connection (ittiṣāl) with him and stating to have heard from the Ḥazzan Ṣadaqa Ibn Nufayʿ (the go-between) that the younger daughter Sitt al-Ahl and not the elder daughter was to be the prospective bride. The letter appears to have been left unfinished. (Information from Goitein's note card.) Alternatively, the sender is already the son-in-law of the addressee, and Ṣadaqa Ibn Nufayʿ is also hoping to marry one of the addressee's daughters, specifically the younger daughter ("I met with him. . . and saw that he preferred, for his part, the younger daughter" wa-raʾaytuhū mūthir li-janbihī al-ibna al-ṣaghira).
