מכתב מאת דניאל בן עזריה אל אברהם בן יצחק הכהן אבן פֻראת, ככל הנראה ברמלה. התיארוך, לפי גיל, הוא בקירוב 1051 לסה"נ, בראשית כהונתו של דניאל כגאון. המכתב שופך אור על קשריהם של דניאל ואברהם עם פקידי שלטון מוסלמים, ובהם הקאא'ד אבו שֻג'אע וחֻסאם אלדולה. תוכן המכתב קשה להבנה, משום שדברים רבים נאמרים בו רק בלשון מעורפלת ורמוזה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Daniel b. ʿAzarya to Avraham b. Yiṣḥaq ha-Kohen Ibn Furāt, probably in al-Ramla. Dating: ca. 1051 CE at the beginning of Daniel's gaonate (according to Gil). This letter sheds lights on the connections of Daniʾel and Avraham to Muslim state officials, e.g., the Qāʾid Abū Shujāʿ and Ḥusām al-Dawla.
