קטע קטן מטיוטה מוקדמת של מכתב פורמלי מטעם שלוש הקהילות הרבניות בפוסטאט ובקהיר אל קהילת אשקלון, בעקבות מסע הצלב הראשון. שני קטעים מטיוטות מאוחרות יותר, החופפים חלקית אך שניהם בלתי שלמים, פורסמו על ידי גיל. הקטע הנוכחי מכיל חלקים מן הפתיחה בעברית. נראה כי המסמך שלפנינו הוא טיוטה מוקדמת יותר, שכן ביטוי חלופי שנכתב כאן מעל השורה (שורה 9) מופיע כחלק מהטקסט המקורי בטיוטה המאוחרת. כמו כן, טקסט מקורי המופיע כאן (שורה 3) מתוקן בטיוטה המאוחרת.
Princeton Geniza Project description: A small fragment of an early draft of the formal letter of the three Rabbanite congregation of Fusṭāṭ and Cairo, to the community of Ascalon, in the wake of the first crusade. Two fragments of later drafts, partially overlapping but both incomplete, were published by Gil (PGPID 630). The fragment at hand contains parts of the Hebrew introduction. The document at hand seems to be an earlier draft, since an alternative phrase written above the line here (line 9), is found as part of the original text in the later draft. Likwise, an original text here (line 3) is corrected in the later draft. Identification: MY.
