רישום משפטי (מס' 54) בפנקס בית דין קראי מקהיר. מתוארך ב' שבט 53[..], כאשר הקו התחתון של האות ש' בספרת המאות בקושי נראה — ככל הנראה שנת ה'שכ"ג, שכן הרישום הבא בפנקס (מס' 55) מתוארך לחודש שבט ה'שכ"ג. הרישום מתעד הסכם שותפות בין שני יצרני/סוחרי גבינות: עבד אלרחים בן דוד חזן פירוז ועבד אללטיף בן אברהם אבן צגיר. ההסכם כולל תנאים הנוגעים למכירות עתידיות, לסוגי הכלים המותרים לשימוש, ולהיבטים נוספים של תהליך הייצור. הסכם שותפות נוסף בייצור גבינות, השמור באותו פנקס בית דין, נמצא בדפים 8v–9r. שותפות נוספת בייצור גבינות בקרב בני הקהילה הקראית במאה השש-עשרה מתועדת בכתב יד נוסף.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#54) in a court register/pinqas from a Karaite beit din in Cairo (on f. 19r of Yevr.-Arab. I 328). Dated 2 Shevat 53[..] with the lower penstroke of ש barely visible in the hundreds place, likely in 5323 AM given that the following entry (#55) on f. 19v is from Shevat 5323 AM. Partnership agreement between the cheese producers/vendors ʿAbd al-Raḥīm b. David Ḥazan Fayruz and ʿAbd al-Laṭīf b. Avraham Ibn Ṣaghīr. The partnership includes stipulations about future sales, what types of tools are permitted, and other aspects of the production process.
