(מסמך מספר 5) פסק דין בעניין מס הגבלה (מס הכשרות הקהילתי) בקהיר. הפסק קובע כי שני שלישים מתקבולי הגבלה ייוחדו לתמיכה בלימוד התורה בקהיר (פה מצרים), והשליש הנותר ייתרם לאותה מטרה בירושלים, בחברון ובצפת. הסופר העתיק את חתימותיהם של שלושת הדיינים: ר' מרדכי הלוי (נפטר ב-1684 לספירה), ר' משה ויטאל, ור' ישראל רומאנו.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#5) in a court register/pinqas from a Rabbanite beit din in Cairo (on f.1v of BL OR 6356). In Hebrew. Dated 12 Shevat 5443 AM, which is 1683 CE. (Document #5) Psaq dīn regarding the communal gabela kashrut tax in Cairo. The ruling specifies that two thirds of the gabela collection will be earmarked for supporting Torah studies in Cairo (פה מצרים) and the final third donated for the same purpose in Jerusalem, Hebron, and Safed. The scribe copied signatures of the three dayyanīm: R. Mordekhay ha-Levi (d. 1684 CE), R. Moshe Vital, and R. Yisraʾel Romano. MCD.
