מכתב בקשה והתחננות בשמה של אישה זקנה, שגלימתה נגנבה ממנה בעת שעמדה לכבס אותה בנילוס. בפנייה מנוסחת בלשון מהודרת היא מבקשת מן הקהילה לסייע בידה לרכוש לכל הפחות צעיף גדול במקום הבגד שנגזל ממנה. האישה מדגישה את גילה המתקדם, את חולשתה הגופנית ואת מחלת העיניים שממנה היא סובלת, כסיבות לכך שאין ביכולתה לדאוג לעצמה ולפרנס את צרכיה בכוחות עצמה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter of appeal in the name of an old woman, whose mantle was stolen while she was about to wash it in the Nile, asking the community in a well-styled address to help her to buy at least a large shawl.
