מכתב מנצר בן כנז אלדולה אל האפרכוס הנובי אורווי שבאִבּרים, שנראה כמכוון לכונן יחסים חדשים בין נצר (בנו של כנז אלדולה) לבין האפרכוס, תוך שימוש במתנת גמל כפתח דיפלומטי. נצר מסביר ששולח את נערו העבד שריף עם גמל חום במתנה לאפרכוס. הוא גם מסביר שזו הפעם הראשונה שהוא כותב אל האפרכוס. הוא מעלה בקשה שנשמעת דחופה ("אל תגרום שיתעכב ולו יום אחד") ומבקש ששריף יישלח אל אדם בשם פאפא (فابه), אותו הוא מתאר כ"משרתי, המבצע את ענייניי", ומביע חשש שמא ייווצר "ניתוק" אם יחול עיכוב בעסקה זו. בשורת הנמען מוענקים לאורווי התארים "מושל מבצר אִבּרים וארץ מַריס, אבו אלח'יר אורווי".
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Naṣr b. Kanz al-Dawla to the Nubian eparch Uruwī in Ibrīm, appearing to establish a new relationship between Naṣr (son of Kanz al-Dawla) and the eparch, using the gift of a camel as a diplomatic opening. Naṣr explains that he is sending his slave boy Sharīf with a brown camel as a gift to the eparch. He also explains that this is the first time he has written to the eparch. He writes with an urgent-sounding request ("do not cause him (i.e., Sharīf, my servant) to be delayed by a single day") and asks that Sharīf be sent to someone named Papa (فابه), whom he describes as "my servant, who carries out my business," and expresses concern about being "cut off" if there is a delay in this transaction. In the address section, Uruwī is given the titles "governor of the fortress of Ibrīm and the Land of Marīs, Abū al-Khayr Uruwī. MR Khan, Qaṣr Ibrīm doc. 7.
