Princeton Geniza Project description: Secondary use: The unique copy of the Hebrew ode composed by Shelomo b. Yosef ha-Kohen in honor of the caliph al-Mustanṣir and of Badr al-Jamālī on the occasion of their military victory over the Seljuks. Dated: Monday, 26 Shevaṭ 4837 AM = 23 January 1077 CE. The poem was originally published by Julius Greenstone in 1906, has been cited extensively in the secondary literature, and in 2013 received an article-length study with an updated edition and translation by Johannes Den Heijer & Joachim Yeshaya.
