מכתב מיחזקאל, ממקום לא ידוע, אל אברהם המלמד, ככל הנראה בפוסטאט. ערבית-יהודית. הכותב מבקש מהנמען לברר אצל אבו אלבהאא' אם ארג את השמיכה (מלחפה) כפי שהבטיח. כשהכותב נפגש בעבר עם אבו אלבהאא' בעניין זה, אמר לו אבו אלבהאא' שהוא חולה אך יעמוד בכאב ויסיים את המלאכה (אנהו יתחמל אלמצ'צ'). (מופעים אחרים של המילה מצ'צ' במאגר מתייחסים בדרך כלל למצוקה במובן מטאפורי, אך ההקשר כאן מרמז על מחלה ממשית.) אם אבו אלבהאא' לא קיים את הבטחתו, אזי יוסף מאלמחלה מוכן להכין את השמיכה "בשני חלקים". חלק מהמידע מבוסס על הערותיו של גויטיין.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Yeḥezqel, unknown location, to Avraham ha-Melammed, probably in Fustat. In Judaeo-Arabic. The writer asks the addressee to find out from Abū l-Bahā' if he has woven the blanket (malḥafa) as promised. When the writer previously met with Abū l-Bahā' regarding this matter, Abū l-Bahā' said that he was ill but would bear it and finish the work (annahu yataḥammal al-maḍaḍ). (The other instances of maḍaḍ in the PGP database generally refer to a figurative distress, but the context here suggests an actual illness.) If Abū l-Bahā' has not fulfilled his promise, then Yūsuf from al-Maḥalla is willing to make the blanket "in two pieces." Information in part from Goitein's notes. ASE.
