מכתב מאת אהרן ב"ר ישועה אבן אלעמאני שנשלח מאלכסנדריה אל אבו סעיד אלעטאר (הרוקח/בשמים) בפוסטאט. לפי פרנקל, המכתב נשלח אל אבו סעיד; גויטיין מוסיף כי הוא נכתב בכתב ידו של אהרן עצמו. אהרן פונה אל סוחר הבשמים בעניין שבעה כתבי יד הכתובים על קלף בערבית ובעברית, ככל הנראה לקראת מכירתם. ברשימה נכללים: פירוש למקרא; כרך מאת המשורר היהודי בן המאה העשירית יוסף בן אביתור; שלושה כרכים המכילים תרגום לערבית של ספר התרופות היווני של דיוסקורידס; ושני כרכים בנושאי הלכה יהודית בשם "הלכות גדולות", מאת שמעון קיירא. המכתב מתוארך לסביבות שנת 1140.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Aharon b. Yeshuʿa ibn al-Ammani written from Alexandria to Abu Sa'id al-'Attar (the perfumer) in Fustat. (Information from Frenkel; Goitein adds that the letter was written in Aharon's hand. Aharon asked the perfume seller about seven manuscripts written on parchment in Arabic and Hebrew which were probably to be sold. The list consists of a biblical commentary, a volume by the 10th century Jewish poet Yosef b. Abitur, three volumes containing an Arabic translation of the Greek pharmaceutical handbook of Dioscorus, and two volumes on Jewish law entitled Halakhot Gedolot, by Simon Qayara.
