מסמך משפטי משנת 1725 לספירה (א' בטבת ה'תפ"ו) מקהיר, המעגן פיוס בין הבעל יוסף מזרחי הידוע בכינויו ח'מיס, לבין אשתו נג'ום בת המנוח ברביס (?) מליג'י/מילג'י (שם המשפחה קשור ככל הנראה לעיירה מליג' שבצפון הדלתא של הנילוס). יוסף מסכים להמשיך ולחיות עמה לפחות שישה חודשים נוספים ולנהוג בה כשורה. אם לא תיכנס להיריון במהלך ששת החודשים הללו, תהיה לו הרשות לשאת אישה שנייה. הסופר הוא אברהם קסטרו, והעד הנוסף הוא אהרן חנון. באמצע מקטע החתימות חותם יצחק הלוי ע'זאל בשם נג'ום כצד מסכים.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal document from 1725 CE (1 Tevet 5486) from Cairo formalizing a reconciliation between husband, Yosef Mizraḥi known as Khumays, and wife, Nujūm the daughter of the late Baribas (?) Malijī/Milijī (this surname is likely related to the town مليج in the upper Nile Delta). Yosef agrees to live with her for at least another 6 months and behave well toward her. If she does not become pregnant during these 6 months, he will then have the right to take a second wife. The scribe is Avraham Castro and the other witness is Aharon Ḥanūn. In the middle of the signatures section, Yiṣḥaq ha-Levi Ghazāl signs on behalf of Nujūm as a consenting party. ASE/MCD.
