שטר שותפות ב"עסק המשי". התעודה מתוארכת לכסלו ה'תקס"ב (1801 לספירה) ונכתבה בקהיר. בשורות הפתיחה מופיעים מספר שמות. בין השותפים: אפרים עדّה ושמעון עזרי, וכן שותף שלישי ששמו ניזוק קשות ונותרו ממנו רק שתי אותיות (שורה 3). למרבה המזל, ראשי התיבות של שמו של השותף השלישי שורדים בשורות מאוחרות יותר בצורת הקיצור הרמ"ץ, דבר המעלה את הסבירות ששם משפחתו היה צבי. השותפות נקבעה לתקופה של שנתיים. ייתכן שהמסמך כלל בעבר חלק של חתימות שאבד עקב הנזק.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Partnership document in the "silk business" (עסק המשי). Date: Kislev 5562 AM (1801 CE). Location: Cairo. Several people are named in the opening lines. The partners include Efrayim ʿAdda and Shimʿon ʿEzrī as well as a third partner whose name is badly damaged with only two letters intact (l. 3). Fortunately, the third partner's initialד survive in later lines as the abbreviation הרמ׳׳ץ which points to the likelihood that his surname was Ṣevī. The partnership was set to last for two years. The document may have once included a signatures section that has been lost to damage. MCD.
