Princeton Geniza Project description: Partnership dissolution and settlement of outstanding debts. Dated Monday 19 Sivan 5410AM (1650). Venue: residence of Eliyya Levi, presumably in Cairo. Yiṣḥaq Shāmī, Rosh Mish[meret], b. Aharon Ḥazzan and Yaʿaqov b. Moshe Berakha agree to cease their partnership and acknowledge outstanding debts totaling to 120 gold şerifi (all of which are itemized). The former partners also relinquish their right to claim any other monetary dues from one another. The scribe of the document is likely Aharon Miʿmār, based on the presence of his signature and his extensive paper trail of other Karaite legal documents from the mid-seventeenth century. MCD.
