תיאור
מכתב מצדקה בן יוסף אלמקדסי, השוהה בדמשק, אל אבו אלפצ'ל(?) בן עבד אלסיד בן אלחסן(?) הרופא (אלמתטבב), בפוסטאט. הכתוב בערבית-יהודית, ואילו הכתובת על גב המסמך כתובה בכתב ערבי. מטרת המכתב היא להזכיר לנמען את האהבה השוררת ביניהם ולעורר אותו לקיים את הבטחתו לבוא ולשהות עם הכותב בדמשק. בצד ב', נוסף על הכתובת, מופיעים שניים או שלושה מרשמים רפואיים. הכתובת דהויה מאוד, ולכן קריאת השמות אינה ודאית.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Ṣedaqa b. Yosef al-Maqdisī, in Damascus, to Abū l-Faḍl(?) b. ʿAbd al-Sayyid b. al-Ḥasan(?) the physician (al-mutaṭabbib), in Fustat. In Judaeo-Arabic with the address in Arabic script. The purpose of the letter is to remind the addressee of the love between them and to remind him of his promise to come stay in Damascus with the writer. On verso, in addition to the address, there are two or three medical prescriptions. The address is very faded, so the reading of the names is tentative.
