מכתב עסקי מאת יעקוב ב. סלאמה (ידוע גם כיעקב ב. שלמה) לאחיו שמואל ב. שלמה. הביטוי "הסופר המגרבי" מופיע גם הוא בכתובת. כתוב בתערובת של ערבית (בכתב ערבי) ויהודית-ערבית. החלק השמור כאן מכיל בעיקר ביטויים נוסחאיים של געגועים ויחס כבוד. מוזכר מישהו בשם סיף אל-דולה אל-[...] אל-Juyūshī; רווח של 8 3/4 דינרים; ו"האנייה הקטנה" (al-qārib al-ṣaghīr), שלפי Aodeh היא ספינתו של שליט צור אבן אבי עקיל, אך הוא אינו מסביר מדוע. Princeton Geniza Project description: Business letter from Yaʿqūb b. Salāma (aka Yaʿaqov b. Shelomo) to his brother Shemuel b. Shelomo. The phrase "the Maghribī scribe" also appears in the address. Written in a mixture of Arabic (in Arabic script) and Judaeo-Arabic. The portion preserved here mainly contains formulaic expressions of longing and deference. Mentions someone called Sayf al-Dawla al-[...] al-Juyūshī; a profit of 8 3/4 dinars; and "the small ship" (al-qārib al-ṣaghīr), which Aodeh suggests is the ship of the ruler of Tyre Ibn Abī ʿAqīl, but does not explain why.
