מסמך משפטי, אך ייתכן שגם מסמך מנהלי-מדינתי בשל ה-ʿalāʾim (סימני רישום) השונים בראש המסמך והאזכור של "al-muqṭaʿyn". כתוב בכתב ערבי. מתוארך לשנת 647 להג'רה. לכמה מחתימות העדים קודמת המילה "ḥaḍara" (נכח), והן ממוקמות (באופן יוצא דופן) בשוליים הימניים ובשוליים העליונים של המסמך. הסופר נתן את שמו בפינה השמאלית העליונה: [...] wakīl [...]. כמו כן מוזכר ḥānūt (חנות או מחסן) שהנהנה רשאי להשתמש בו לפי שיקול דעתו. ʿalāma אחת מסוימת — "al-ḥamdu li-llah ʿalā kull ḥāl" (התהילה לאל בכל מצב) — חוזרת מספר פעמים. המסמך עצמו טעון בדיקה נוספת לבחינת תוכנו.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal document, but could also be a state document because of the various ʿalāʾim (registration marks) on the top of the document and the mention of "al-muqṭaʿyn". In Arabic script. Dated: 647 H. Several of the witness signatures are prefaced with the word "ḥaḍara," and they are (strangely) located in the right margin and upper margin. The scribe gives his name at the upper left [...] wakīl [...]. Also mentioned is a ḥānūt (shop/warehouse) which the beneficiary can use as per their discretion. One particular ʿalāma: "al-ḥamdu li-llah ʿalā kull ḥāl" is repeated a few times. The document itself needs examination for content.
