גב: מכתב בערבית יהודית המופנה לאדם מכובד. כתב היד דומה לשל שלמה בן שמואל בן סעדיה הלוי (המאה ה-13). כתב יפה וסגנון נשגב, חלקית בפרוזה מחורזת. נכתב בחנוכה. לאחר ברכות רבות ('עד שהשמים יתרוקנו מכוכבים והשמש תזרח במערב') השולח מעביר את התנצלויותיו על שלא נפרד מהנמען (אל-מג'לס אל-כרים) לאחר עזיבתו את סיידנא. נראה שהשולח נסע לקוּס.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Recto: Letter in Judaeo-Arabic addressed to a dignitary. The hand resembles that of Shelomo b. Shemuel b. Saʿadya ha-Levi (13th century). Beautiful script and elevated style, partially in rhymed prose. Written on Ḥannuka. After copious blessings ("until the sky is empty of stars and the sun rises in the west") the sender conveys his apologies for not bidding farewell to the addressee (al-majlis al-karīm) after his departure from Sayyidnā. It seems that the sender has been traveling to Qūṣ (l. 17).
