תחילתו של מכתב מנומס אך תקיף הממוען לאדם בשם שלמה, ועוסק בענייני קהילה. נזכרת בו פרשת פירוק רכוש הקשור לתיקים המשפטיים של אבן חסאן ואבן בנונה (?). מבחינת תיארוך, המכתב אינו יכול להיות מוקדם משנת 1425, שכן מופיע בו אזכור של המטבע "אשרפי" — מטבע שהוטבע לראשונה תחת שלטונו של הסולטאן אלאשרף ברסבאי באותה שנה. Princeton Geniza Project description: Beginning of a polite but strong letter to a certain Shelomo concerning communcal matters. Mentions the breaking up of property belonging to the legal cases of Ibn Ḥassān and Ibn Banūna (?). Dating: no earlier than 1425 CE, since it mentions the currency ashrafī which was first minted under Sultan al-Ashraf Barsbay in that year. (Information from CUDL and Goitein's index card.)
