מסמך משפטי. חוזה שותפות. בכתב ידו של הלל בן עלי. נכתב בפוסטאט. מתוארך לשנת 1412 למניין השטרות (1100/1101 לספירה); הציון "א׳ת׳י׳ב׳" נראה בקושי בשורה 19 לאורך הקרע התחתון של הנייר. רישום זה מבית הדין מתעד את ארגונה מחדש של עסקת שותפות לאחר שאחד השותפים נמלט עם חלק מהון השותפות. אבו מנצור אהרן בן מבשר אלזיאת התקשר בחוזה שותפות בחנות שמן וקטניות בחמאם אלפאר ("מרחץ העכבר"), הידועה גם כחנותו של אבן שהריין אלג'זאר, יחד עם אבו עמראן משה בן מרדכי הכהן ועם אבו סעד בן אבו אלעלא — שייתכן שהיה אחיו של אהרן. ככל הנראה משה היה המשקיע הבכיר וזכה ל-5/12 מן הרווחים; אבו סעד, שהיה משקיע וגם השותף הפעיל, היה אמור לקבל שליש; ואהרן זכה לרבע. כאשר, להפתעתם המרה של אהרן ומשה, נמלט אבו סעד עם נכסי השותפות, נכנס אהרן בנעליו. אהרן ומשה ארגנו מחדש את השותפות והסכימו לחלק את הרווחים בחלקים שווים. Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal document. Partnership contract. In the hand of Hillel b. ʿEli. Location: Fustat. Dated: 1412 Seleucid (1100/1101 CE), the year א׳ת׳י׳ב׳ is barely visible in line 19 along the lower paper tear. This court record notes the reorganization of a business venture after one of the partners absconded with some of the partnership capital. Abū Mansūr Aharon b. Mevasser al-Zayyat contracted a partnership in an oil and legume shop in Ḥammām al-Faʾr (the "Rat" bathhouse), also known as the shop of Ibn Shahrayn al-Jazzār, with Abū ʿImrān Moshe b. Mordekhay ha-Kohen and Abū Saʿd b. Abū l-ʿAlāʾ, the latter of whom may have been Aharon's brother. Moshe was likely the senior investor, collecting 5/12 of the profit; Abū Saʿd, an investor and the active partner, was to collect a third; and Aharon was to collect a quarter. When, to Aharon and Moshe's shock, Abū Saʿd absconded with the partnership assets, Aaron took Abū Saʿd's place. Aharon and Moshe reconfigured the partnership and agreed to split profits evenly.
