מכתב מאת שמואל בן עלי גאון בבגדאד. במסמך מופיעים השמות גולא בן ח'לף ומנצור בן כותא. חלקו של המכתב כתוב בארמית. לפי גיל ולפי קטלוג CUDL מדובר באוטוגרף של הגאון עצמו, אולם לדעת עמיר אשור ומרינה רוסטוב כתב היד זהה לזה של תלמידו של הגאון, יוסף בן יעקב ראש הסדר מארביל. הקטע ששרד כולל את ברכות הפתיחה של המכתב וכן התייחסות לחובות. ציטוטים מקראיים מוצגים בנוסחה "שנא'" ומסומנים בזוגות נקודות מעל השורה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Shemuʾel b. Eli gaʾon in Baghdad. Contains the names Gūlā (גולא) b. Khalaf and Manṣūr b. Kūtā (כותא). Partially written in Aramaic. Gil and CUDL say this is an autograph, but according to Amir Ashur and Marina Rustow, this hand is identical to that of the gaʾon's disciple Yosef b. Yaʿaqov rosh ha-seder of Irbīl.
