מכתב מאת אליה בן יהודה בן יחיא מאלכסנדריה אל נהראי בן נסים בפוסטאט, סביב שנת 1050. הכותב נמצא על אונייה שעומדת להפליג בבוקר אל אל-לאד'קיה (לטקיה). הוא מביע דאגה בנוגע לקֻנבּאר (סוג של כלי שיט) שנאלץ לעגון בחוף. כמו כן הוא מזכיר שתי אוניות של אבו עבדאללה (אבן אל-בעבאע), קארב של בו עלי אל-שאמי ושלוש אוניות מאזור שאם. במכתב נזכרים גם משלוח של כופר (קמפור) וחשבונו של יהודה בן משה בן סע'מאר. המידע מבוסס על גיל, ממלכת ישמעאל, כרך 4, מסמך 706.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Eliyya b. Yehuda b. Yahya from Alexandria, to Nahray b. Nissim, Fustat. Around 1050. The writer is on a ship that is about to sail in the morning to al-Lādhiqiyya (Latakia). He expresses concern about a qunbār that was forced to stop at the shore. He also mentions two ships of Abū ʿAbdallah (Ibn al-Baʿbāʿ), a qārib of Bū ʿAlī al-Shāmī and three ships from the Shām. Also mentions a shipment of camphor and the account of Yehuda b. Moshe b.
