מכתב מברהון בן יצחק אלתאהרתי, מאלמהדיה, אל נהראי בן נסים, ככל הנראה באלכסנדריה. נכתב בסביבות 1045 לפי גיל. נהראי שולח סחורות למגרב ומוכר סחורות שהוא מקבל מברהון, ולהיפך — ברהון מוכר סחורות במגרב ושולח סחורות למצרים. שניהם גם קונים סחורות. הכותב מזכיר שיתוף פעולה עסקי עם אבו נצר חסד אלתסתרי ושותפות עם אבו אלקאסם עבד אלרחמן בסחר באבני חן. מוזכרות סחורות המובלות על אונייה צבאית, "מרכב חרבי".
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Barhūn b. Isḥāq al-Tāhartī, from al-Mahdiyya, to Nahray b. Nissim, probably in Alexandria. Around 1045 (Gil). Nahray is sending goods to the Maghrib and selling goods that he receives from Barhūn and vice versa, Barhūn sells goods in the Maghrib and sends goods to Egypt. They both also buy goods. The writer mentions a business collaboration with Abū Naṣr Ḥesed al-Tustarī and a partnership with Abū l-Qāsim ʿAbd al-Raḥman in trading gems.
