מכתב מאלכסנדריה. הכותב הוא איש רמלה אשר חי במשך עשרים שנה בבגדאד. הוא כותב אל מבורך בן סעדיה הנגיד או אל אחד המקורבים אליו ביותר. נכתב בסביבות שנת 1095. הכותב מתייחס לעצמו כעבדו של מבורך, ומבקש ממנו לסייע לבתו השוהה בפוסטאט בעוד הוא עצמו נמצא באלכסנדריה. במכתב מוזכרים כמה פרטים על מצב היהודים בעיראק, וכן ראש ישיבת ארץ ישראל, אביתר הכהן בן אליהו. לפי גיל, השמורה צוינה בטעות במקום אחר. מכתבים נוספים מאת אותו כותב ידועים אף הם.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Alexandria, the writer is a person from Ramla (who lived for twenty years in Baghdad). He writes to Mevorakh b. Se’adya ha-Nagid or one of his closest people. Around 1095. The writer refers to himself as Mevorakh’s servant. He asks Mevorakh to help his daughter who is in Fustat while he is in Alexandria. Mentions several details about the Jews in Iraq as well as the head of the Eretz Yisraeli Yeshiva, Evyatar ha-Kohen b. Eliyyahu.
