מכתב מאישה בעדן אל בנה משה בן אלעזר (הידוע גם כמוסא בן עיזור), השוהה במצרים. לפי גויטיין, נכתב בשנים 1226–28. הכותבת מזכירה את הגעת מכתביו של הנמען לידי יעקב בן אברהם בן פרח, ומביעה את צערה על שלא קיבלה היא עצמה כל מכתב. היא שלחה לו אגוזי בטל בשווי שבעה רֻבאעיים באמצעות "החלבי", ידידו של יעקב בן אברהם בן פרח. היא מורה לו לנהוג בחכמה ולשמור על סחורתו של אברהם בן בנדאר, הנתון בצרה בעדן בשל סכסוך בינו לבין יחיא אלתכריתי. הסכסוך נסב סביב שערורייה הקשורה בזמרת שהוזמנה לבדר במפגש של נכבדי יהודי המקום, ובהם אברהם, מצמון בן אברהם בן היבה ואברהם בן יהודה. כפי הנראה, אלתכריתי הוא ששלח את הזמרת אל מקום המפגש, אך לאחר מכן הלך ודיווח עליהם לשלטונות. בעקבות זאת הותקפו בהסתת הקאדי (אלשופט) אלג'זרי(?); אחדים נהרגו, אחדים נכלאו ואחרים נקנסו. בין ההרוגים: מצמון בן דאוד, אמו, אמו של אבו אלטיב, ויצחק בן מוסא בן סלימאן. בהמשך נמסרת דרישת שלום מדודתו של הנמען מצד אמו, מרים, והכותבת מבקשת ממנו מטפחת. מוסא בן יחיא ושלמאן בן עקבה טרם הגיעו. הנמען מתבקש למהר ולבוא. נמסרות גם דרישות שלום מיוסף בן עקבה ואשתו ומאחיותיו של הנמען. אחיו של הנמען נכנס לשותפות עם אבו אלפרג' בן דאוד. אחותה האחרת של הכותבת, סת אלדאר (אלא אם זו אותה אישה כמרים), אף היא מבקשת מטפחת.

Princeton Geniza Project description: IB VII, 58. Letter from a woman, in Aden, to her son Moshe b. Elʿazar (aka Mūsā b. ʿAyzūr), in Egypt. Dating: 1226–28, according to Goitein. Mentions arrival of the addressee's letters to Yaʿaqov b. Avraham b. Faraḥ. She was saddened not to receive any letters herself. She has sent seven rubāʿīs' worth of betel nut with the Aleppan, the friend of Yaʿaqov b. Avraham b. Faraḥ. She tells him to be clever and to guard the merchandise of Avraham b. Bundār, who is in trouble in Aden due to a conflict between him and Yaḥyā al-Tikrītī, involving a scandal with a singer who came to entertain at a gathering of prominent Jews, including Avraham, and Maḍmūn b. Avraham b. Hiba, and Avraham b. Yehuda. It seems that al-Tikrītī had sent the singer to their dwelling but then went and reported on them to the government. They were then attacked at the instigation of the qāḍī (al-shofeṭ) al-Jazarī(?), and some were killed, some imprisoned, and some fined. The dead include Maḍmūn b. Dāʾūd, his mother, the mother of Abū l-Ṭayyib, and Isḥāq b. Mūsā b. Sulaymān. Greetings from the recipient's maternal aunt Miryam. She requests a kerchief. Mūsā b. Yaḥyā and Shalmān b. ʿUqba have not yet arrived. The addressee is urged to come quickly. Greetings from Yosef b. ʿUqba and his wife, and from the addressee's sisters. The addressee's brother has formed a partnership with Abū l-Faraj b. Dāʾūd. The writer's other sister, Sitt al-Dār (unless this is the same person as Miryam), also requests a kerchief.
