מכתב מאת שלמה בן יהודה לאברהם בן סהלאן, ובו הוא מציין כי באיגרת קודמת כבר הודה לאברהם על התרומה ששלחה קהילת פוסטאט באמצעות הזקן שלמה בן סעדיה אל לוי בן מנחם. תאריך: 1025–1051 לספירה, על פי שנות כהונתו של שלמה בן יהודה. הגאון כותב את המכתב הנוכחי בשמו של אדם בשם צדקה בן מנחם, המהלל את אברהם על נדיבותו ומביע חרטה על מעשיו הרעים בעבר. כמו כן מספר צדקה כי "הזקן האדיר" הבטיח לכתוב לכמה ממיופי כוחו כדי למצוא לו תעסוקה במצרים. הגאון מבקש מאברהם להתעניין בעניינו של צדקה ולפעול למענו.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Shelomo b. Yehuda to Avraham b. Sahlan (died ca. 1032), noting that in a previous epistle he thanked Abraham for the donation the Fustat community had sent through the elder Shelomo b. Sa‘adya, to Levi b. Menahem. Dating: 1025–1032 CE, based on Shelomo b. Yehuda's years of service and the approximate death date of Avraham b. Sahlan. The Gaon writes this current letter on behalf of a certain Sadaqa b. Menahem, who eulogizes Abraham for his kindness and repents his former misdeeds, furthermore relating that the "mighty elder" had promised to write to some his representatives to find Sadaqa some employment in Egypt.
