מכתב מח'יאר בן יעקב אל נתנאל בן יפת (המכונה גם אבו אלמפצ'ל הבת אללה בן חסין). כתוב ביהודית-ערבית. המכתב עוסק במשלוח של כספית (זיבק), שהשולח לא הצליח למכור באלכסנדריה משום שמחירו טרם נקבע, בעוד שבבורסה של קאצ'י רג'א (בפוסטאט) נמכר בארבעה עשר דינרים לקנטאר. בספינה שהגיעה מהמגרב לא היו לא סחורה ולא מכתבים. בנספח שבסוף המכתב מוזכרים סוחרים החוזרים מהודו, ויש בו רמיזה לדאגה סביב היעלמותו של אבו אלפרג' נסים. אבו אלפרג' נסים נעלם בהודו עם משלוח הכמפור (קמפור) שלו, ועניין זה נדון בכמה ממסמכי "ספר הודו".
Princeton Geniza Project description: IB II, 9. Letter from Khiyār b. Yaʿaqov to Netanʾel b. Yefet (aka Abū l-Mufaḍḍal Hibatallāh b. Ḥusayn). In Judaeo-Arabic. The letter concerns a consignment of mercury (zaybaq), which he was unable to sell in Alexandria, since the price was not yet fixed, while in the bourse of Qāḍī Rajā (in Fustat) it went for 14 dinars per qintar. No merchandise and no letter in the ship from the Maghrib. In the postscript, mentions traders returning from India and alludes to the concern about the disappearance of Abū l-Faraj Nissim.
