מכתב מעמרם בן יוסף אל נהראי בן נסים, ובו שאילתא על מכתב שנשלח לעדן (אלכסנדריה). תיארוך: 1094–1097. עשרים ושבע השורות הראשונות של המכתב מוקדשות ברובן לדברי שלום ולביטויי הערכה והתפעלות כלפי נהראי וכלפי מבורך הרַיִּיס. בהמשך שואל עמרם אם יש ידיעות על בואו של גיסו נסים. עמרם סובל זה שנה שלמה מדלקת עיניים (אופתלמיה), ולא מוצא איש שיוכל לרפאו ממנה. הוא מתנצל על שאינו יכול לבוא בכבודו ובעצמו לחלוק כבוד לנגיד, ומבקש מנהראי לייצגו לפניו. ראו גם את שאר המכתבים מאותה סדרה (2–9), העוסקים באבו אלפרג' נסים, אשר נעלם בהודו ועמו מטען הכפור (קמפור) שלו.
Princeton Geniza Project description: IB II, 3. Letter from Amram b. Yosef to Nahray b. Nissim inquiring about a letter sent to Aden Alexandria. Dating: 1094–97. The first 27 lines consist mainly of greetings and expressions of admiration for Nahray and Mevorākh, the Rayyis. Amram then asks if there is any news of his brother-in-law Nissīm's arrival. ʿAmram has suffered from ophthalmia for one year and cannot find anyone to cure it. He excuses himself from coming in person to pay his respects to the Nagid and asks Nahray to represent him. Information by ASE and from Goitein and Friedman, India Traders.
