הליך בבית דין שבו שני האחים אבו אלפצ'ל שֵׁלָה (לזיהוי זה, ראו את המסמך הקשור) ומעאלי, בניו של עיאש, תבעו נכסים מסוימים של פרח, אשר נרצח בעידאב, מאדם בשם אבו עלי. בהקשר זה ביקשו מבית הדין לרשום כי אבו יעקוב (יוסף) אללבדי הודה זה מכבר בבית הדין שאין לו כל תביעה על נכסים אלה. אבו עלי, ככל הנראה, טען שהוא חייב את הכסף ללבדי ולא לשני האחים. התעודה מתוארכת לשנת 1418 לפי מניין השטרות = 1106/07 לספירה. בשני צידי המסמך (רקטו וורסו) מופיעים ניסיונות קולמוס ותרגילי כתיבה בכתב ערבי בסגנון לשכת הסופרים (חאנצ'רי) — הביטויים אופייניים למסמכי שלטון (למשל: imtathala al-marsūm bi-l-tawqīʿ); כמו כן מוזכרים השמות עלי בן חסן, יאקות בן אבראהים ויעקוב בן אבראהים. בצד הוורסו מצויים גם רישומי חשבונות בערבית-יהודית, ובהם אזכור סחורות הקשורות למסחר עם הודו. ראו גם מסמך משפטי נוסף הקשור לאותו עניין.

Princeton Geniza Project description: IB I, 29. Court proceedings in which the two brothers, Abū l-Faḍl Shela (for this identification, see T-S 10J21.11 | PGPID 2956) and Maʿālī, the sons of ʿAyyāsh, claimed certain assets of Faraḥ, who was murdered in ʿAydhāb, from a certain Abū ʿAlī. In connection with this they asked the court to register that Abū Yaʿqūb (Yosef) Lebdī had acknowledged in court a long time ago that he had no claims to these assets. Abū ʿAlī, apparently, claimed that he owed the money to Lebdi rather than to the two brothers. Dated: 1418 Seleucid = 1106/07 CE. On both recto and verso there are pen trials and writing exercises in Arabic script in a chancery hand -- the phrases are typical of state documents (e.g. imtathala al-marsūm bi-l-tawqīʿ); also mentions the name ʿAlī b. Ḥasan and Yāqūt b. Ibrāhīm and Yaʿqūb b. Ibrāhīm. On verso there is also some accounting in Judaeo-Arabic, mentioning goods related to the India trade.
