מכתב מח'לף בן יצחק בעדן אל אברהם בן יג'ו בהודו, העוסק בעיקר בסחורות שאבדו בטביעת ספינה. התיארוך כמעט ודאי הוא שנת 1146. זוהי הטיוטה, בכתב ידו של ח'לף, שעל בסיסה הוכן עותק נקי. מהדורה ותרגום מלאים של גויטיין ופרידמן מצויים אצל העותק הנקי. המעתיק הכניס מספר תיקונים בתהליך ההעתקה מבלי לתקן את המקור עצמו. הן המקור (טיוטה זו) והן ההעתק נשלחו לאבן יג'ו, אך הוא עשה שימוש חוזר רק בטיוטה המבולגנת יותר (המסמך הנוכחי): על גב הדף העתיק פיוט של יצחק בן גיאת וכן חשבון עסקי. הטיוטה אינה שלמה, והמהדורה המצורפת לרשומה זו היא למעשה של ההעתק המלא.
Princeton Geniza Project description: IB III, 13 + 14. Letter from Khalaf b. Yiṣḥaq, Aden, to Avraham b. Yiju, India, mainly about shipwrecked goods. Dating: almost certainly 1146. This is the draft, in Khalaf's hand, on the basis of which a copy was made: T-S 18J4.18 (IB III, 12 ; PGPID 5534). Full edition and translation by Goitein and Friedman can be found with the IB III, 12 copy. The copyist made a few corrections in the copying process without correcting the original. Both the original and the copy were then sent to Ibn Yijū, who reused only the messier draft (this document), copying on the verso a piyyut of Yiṣḥaq b. Giyāt (PGPID 5550) and a business account (PGPID 5503). This draft is incomplete; the edition attached to this PGP record is actually of T-S 18J4.18, the complete copy.
