בצד הרקטו, פנייה רהוטה מאת אברהם בן יתרו, סוחר משכיל מדמשק שאיבד את כל עושרו. המכתב כולל הקדמה ארוכה בעברית, ובה שמו של הנמען, מבורך בן יצחק, נכתב לאחר חיבור המכתב. ייתכן שיש קשר בין המכתב לבין רשימת התורמים המופיעה באותו עמוד. ראו גם מכתב בקשה נוסף מאת אותו מחבר, הממוען לאישיות נכבדה אחרת.
Princeton Geniza Project description: On recto, an eloquent appeal by Avraham b. Yitrō, a learned merchant from Damascus who had lost all his riches. The letter includes a length Hebrew introduction, in which the name of the addressee, Mevorkh b. Yiṣḥaq, was inserted after the letter was written.
