מכתב שבו רופא עיניים מאשים את עוזרו שהוא גם קרובו על עזיבה ללא מסירת פרטים על תרופות שונות בבית המרקחת, ומבקשו לחזור לעבודה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter in which an ophthalmologist named Moshe blames his assistant who was also his relative for having left without giving him details about the various medications in the dispensary and chastises him and exhorts him to return to work. At one point he cites what must have been a proverbial expression, "which is higher in the head, the eyes or the molars?" This is followed by "return to God, and leave off folly. . . You have burnt my heart with your distance. . . ." He has sent some collyria along with the letter and wishes to know what they are. He also instructs the addressee to study the treatises of Dāniyāl b. Shaʿyā and Ḥunayn. (Information in part from Mediterranean Society, I, p. 97, II, p. 246, and from Goitein's index cards)
