Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#118) in a court register/pinqas from a Karaite beit din in Cairo (on f. 38v of Yevr.-Arab. I 328). Location: Cairo. Dated: Av 5327 AM (1567 CE). Lease agreement in which Sulaymān b. Shemuʾel Kohen Shuqayr rents the "entire sesame oil production (al-sīrja) [building?]," but the final word is too damaged to interpret clearly. This lease is for a property held within the pious endowment of the Karaite community and the production building is referenced in the early pages of the same court register in a full list of waqf properties (record #18 -- PGPID 41042). Some of the final words in each line of this entry are illegible because subsequent pages in the court register appear to have been cut out intentionally and the remaining paper is covering the inner edge of f. 38v. MCD.
