טקסט ספרותי בכתב ערבי. שני דפים מתוך חיבור משפטי-הלכתי בנושא אָדָאב אַל-קֻצָ'את (כללי ההתנהגות הראויה לשופטים). הטקסט השמור דן באופי המחייב של עדות ובמשפט המוכר והמצוטט רבות: "הבחירה לשמש כשופט דומה לנעיצת סכין בגוף עצמו". בפינה העליונה של הקטע הראשון מופיעה הערה, ככל הנראה הערת בעלות (תמליכּ), שזו לשונה: "نسخة عبد الحليم بن عبد العقل ابو لنون يعقوب الحنبلي" ("עותקו של עבד אלחלים בן עבד אלעקל אבו לנון יעקוב אלחנבלי"). ההערה נושאת את התאריך 548 להג'רה. גם כתב היד עצמו ניתן לתיארוך למאה ה-12 על פי בחינה פלאוגרפית. הסופר השתמש בעיגולים מנוקדים (circumpuncts) לסימון סופי משפטים ונושאים.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Literary text, in Arabic script. Two folios from a juridical legal text on the ādāb al-quḍāt. The preserved text discusses the binding nature of testimony and the often-quoted phrase, "to choose to be a judge is like impaling oneself with a knife." There is also a note to the top corner of the first fragment, perhaps a tamlīk (ownership) note that reads: "نسخة عبد الحليم بن عبد العقل ابو لنون يعقوب الحنبلي". The note is dated to the year 548 H. The scribal hand can also be dated to the 12th century based on paleography. The scribe has used circumpuncts to mark subject endings.
