Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal query concerning Jews who have been lent 100 pereḥīm with 1% monthly interest by a non-Jew. The query is anonymous, only using the formulaic names Reuben and Shimʿon, and does not include a responsum. Usage of the monetary term pereḥīm, often meaning Venetian ducats, is especially common among geniza fragments from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries CE.
