קטע מתחילת מכתב, כנראה מישועה בן יוסף הכהן מטעם קהילת אלכסנדריה לקהילת פוסטאט בנוגע לפדיון שבויים. בעברית. תאריך: המחצית הראשונה של המאה ה-11. מתייחס לפדיון הקודם של 18 שבויים 'בידינו ובידיכם'. אולם לאחר מכן הגיעה הידיעה שהשודד הערבי אבן אבי רזין לקח שבויים נוספים. ראו: Bodl. MS heb. a 3/28 (PGPID 19284), המכיל ביטויים כמעט זהים לגבי השבויים שנלקחו על-ידי אבן אבי רזין.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Fragment from the beginning of a letter, probably from Yeshuʿa b. Yosef ha-Kohen on behalf of the community of Alexandria to the community of Fustat concerning the redemption of captives. In Hebrew. Dating: first half of the 11th century. Refers to the prior redemption of 18 captives "at our hands and at your hands." However this was followed by the news that the Arab pirate Ibn Abī Razīn had taken more captives. See Bodl. MS heb. a 3/28 (PGPID 19284), which contains nearly identical phrases concerning the captives taken by Ibn Abī Razīn, and related documents listed there.
