מכתב עסקי בעברית המזכיר שיט ימי עם רגוסה (דוברובניק). המאה ה-16-17 על-פי הפליאוגרפיה. רק הגבול השמאלי של המכתב שמור אך שורות רבות קריאות. השורות הפותחות מזכירות 'ספינה רגוסאה' ו-1,000 פרחים - כנראה דוקטים ונציאניים או מטבע זהב דומה. שורה 11 מתייחסת כנראה לקפטן ספינה 'הקאפיטאן' שעשויה לשאת משמעות צבאית שכן השורה הבאה מזכירה 'המלחמה'. שורה 10 עשויה להתייחס לפקודת פחה (מאמר הבשה). ממשיך גם להזכיר את השניוריאה, כנראה התייחסות למועצה השלטת (סיניוריה) של ונציה בתקופה זו. חלק קטן מהכתובת נראה בורסו: 'יד השר ונעל'.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Business letter in Hebrew mentioning maritime shipping with Ragusa (Dubrovnik). 16th-17th-century based on the paleography. Only the left border of the letter is preserved but many lines are legible. The opening lines mention "ספינה רגוסאה" (Ragusan ship) and 1,000 peraḥīm–likely Venetian ducats or a similar gold coin. Line 11 probably references a ship captain "הקאפיטאן" which may have a military connotation given that the next line mentions "the war" (המלחמה). In l. 10 may refer to an order of a pasha (מאמר הבשה). Also goes on to mention the שניוריאה, likely a reference to the ruling council (signoria) of Venice during this period. A small portion of the address is visible on the verso: _יד השר ונעל. MCD/ASE
