מכתב המופנה אל יוסף הכהן בן שמחה, ובו בקשת סיוע. כתוב בעברית. הכותב נפגע ממשבר שהביא אותו לעוני, ומצבו הסתבך עוד יותר בשל חובות שרבצו עליו. הוא מבקש לצאת לדרך ולהצטרף לאברהם אל-גר (הגר) במסעו לסַבּתה (סֵאוּטה), מתוך כוונה לערוך שם פניות וקריאות לעזרה מן הציבור. נכתב על ידי ברכות בן שמואל. The writer was hit by a crisis that forced him into poverty and then this was complicated by debts.
