מכתב בעברית. מאוחר ואינו מגניזת קהיר. שמות השולח והנמען לא נשתמרו. השולח הוא ככל הנראה דיין סייר, כפי שעולה ממכתב זה וממכתב דומה שלו. כאן הוא פונה אל "כל הקהל" ובאופן ספציפי אל כפיף בשם אברהם. הוא שמע שאברהם פסק שאישה מסוימת אינה מאורסת ושהיא חופשית להינשא לכל מי שתחפוץ. "ואמרתי, 'יישר כוחו! שיסמוך על חוכמתו האדירה ולא יתייעץ עם מי שגדול ממנו... והוא מתיר אשת איש להינשא לאיש אחר ולהרבות ממזרים בישראל.' דבר כזה אסור שיקרה בישראל. כעת אכתוב לך מה שראו עיניי שלי כאשר דנתי בעניין זה בעיר סנדור..." (העיר סנדור, שאינה קיימת עוד, שכנה ליד דהוק שבכורדיסטן והייתה בה קהילה יהודית חשובה.) לאחר מכן מובא תיאור מפורט של המקרה הנוגע לנישואין (או היעדרם) בין בתו של מרדכי לבנו של דוד. נדרשת בדיקה נוספת.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter in Hebrew. Late and non-Geniza. The names of the sender and addressee are not preserved. The sender is evidently a circuit judge, based on this letter and his similar letter HUC 1119 (PGPID 39285). Here he addresses "the whole congregation" and specifically a subordinate named Avraham. He heard that Avraham ruled that a certain woman was not engaged and that she is free to marry whomever she likes. "And I said, 'Good for him! That he should rely on his tremendous wisdom and not consult one who is greater than he. . . . and he grants permission to a man's wife to marry another man and increase bastards in Israel.' This must not happen in Israel. Now I will write to you what my own eyes saw when I judged this case in the city of Sandūr. . . ." (The city of Sandūr, which no longer exists, was near Duhok in Kurdistan and had a prominent Jewish community.) There follows a detailed description of the case involving the marriage (or lack thereof) between the daughter of Mordekhay and the son of David. Needs examination.
