Princeton Geniza Project description: Mercantile accounts in Arabic script and Greek/Coptic numerals. Each page is headed "the wheat sold in the name of Abū Saʿīd al-Yahūdī al-Sukkarī." Dated: ca. 623 AH = 1226 CE. (There are more specific dates on each side, including mention of the month Shawwāl, but the year on recto is tricky to read—might be 622.) Detailed itemized lists are preserved on each side. Several names are mentioned. One entry refers to "the captain of the ship" (raʾīs al-markab).
