Princeton Geniza Project description: Verso (probably original use): Account signed at the top by Ḥannā b. Mīkhāʾīl, probably identical with the jahbadh Yūḥannā b. Mīkhāʾil known from numerous other Geniza state fragments. There are sections for the months of Dhū l-Ḥijja, Muḥarram, Ṣafar, and Rabīʿ al-Awwal. After the header a sum for the month appears, and individual entries are provided for specific dates within each month. Because the numbers for the dates are written in ascending order and appear multiple times, this is a particularly useful reference guide for the paleography of number ciphers in state documents.
