מכתב המופנה לאציל בשם אַהֲרֹן. פותח בפאנגיריק בעברית שבו הנמען נקרא 'הרב' ו'נגיד דורו ואומתו'. ממשיך בצד השני בערבית-יהודית. התוכן לא ברור והפרוזה מוגבהת. '...יעזור ה'... אשר... כל עמיתינו (אַצְחָאבְּנָא) הגדולים [והקטנים]... מזל טוב, אדוני ורבי... [הנ]כבד מאוצרותיי ותועלת הנצח... הורד את המסך (תֻּסְבִּל אַלְ-סִתְר עַלָא)... [סלח לי] על כל מחדל (מִן אַלְ-זַּלַל), שכן לולא [...].' ככל הנראה מכתב פנייה לצדקה או לסיוע אחר.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter addressed to a dignitary named Aharon. It opens with a panegyric in Hebrew in which the addressee is called "the Rav" and "the Nagid of his generation and nation." It continues on verso in Judaeo-Arabic. The substance is unclear and the prose is elevated. "... may God help... which... all of our colleagues (aṣḥābnā) the great [and small]... good fortune, O my lord and master... the [no]blest of my treasures and the benefit of eternity... drape the curtain over (tusbil al-sitr ʿalā)... [indulge me] for any lapse (min al-zalal), for were it not for [...]. Presumably a letter of appeal for charity or other assistance.
