'הזקן אבו ל-עַלָּא חייב לבוא, ואם יתמהמה, ישלם 10 (דינר?)... ואם שני עדים יעידו על מה שהוא הזכיר, יקבל מלקות (טורב מלקות), אך אם הוא חף מפשע, נקח את שלו מהאדם שהתנגד לו והעיד שקר נגדו.' מתחת, בזווית של 90 מעלות ובאותו כתב יד, יש בתים של שירת אהבה בערבית-יהודית.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Verso: Directive concerning a legal case in Judaeo-Arabic. "The elder Abū l-ʿAlāʾ must come, and if he is tardy, he will owe 10 (dinars?)... and if two witnesses testify concerning that which he mentioned (or: that which was mentioned), he will receive lashes (טורב מלקות), but if he is innocent, we will take his due from the one who opposed him and falsely testified against him." Underneath, at 90 degrees and in the same handwriting, there are verses of love poetry in Judaeo-Arabic.
