דיווח רשמי. שבר (צד שמאל). השולח מדווח שהגיע למיקום מסוים בסוף טובה (תחילת פברואר). הוא מדווח על היבולים (ghallāt, zirāʿa). הוא מתייחס למיקומים כולל אגם (buḥayra), ייתכן [ש]יוה ליד דמסיס, ו'האי שוברה דמסיס'. נראה שהזריעה לא הושלמה באזורים אלה, בעיקר חיטה. מתייחס למקדמות זרע (taqāwī); ההקשר לא ברור וייתכן שקדם לו '... ואין צווים (sijillāt).' מישהו צריך להיות מיודע על סוגי היבולים הנזרעים, ומישהו יצא לפעולה (...dhālika. Wa-sharaʿa fī ʿamalihī wa-injāzihī....). יש גם כמה שורות ערבית משולבות בין הריוחים הרחבים של העצומה, ככל הנראה משימוש חוזר מאוחר יותר או הערות, אם כי כתב היד נראה דומה לכתב היד הראשי. השורה המשולבת הראשונה נושאת תאריך: יום חמישי 19 מוחרם 550 לה' = 25 במרץ 1155 לספירה. שורה אחרת מתייחסת ל'הזהב המופקד' (al-dhahab al-mawduʿ). נעשה שימוש חוזר גם בצד הפנימי לפיוט עברי; מיוחס לסהלאן ב. אברהם ב-FGP. Princeton Geniza Project description: Official report. Fragment (left side). The sender reports that he arrived in a certain location at the end of Ṭūba (early February). He reports concerning the crops (ghallāt, zirāʿa). He refers to locations including a lake (buḥayra), possibly [Sh]īwa near Damsīs, and "the island of Shubrā Damsīs." It seems that the planting was not completed in these areas, especially wheat. Refers to seed advances (taqāwī); the context is unclear and it might be preceded by "... and no decrees (sijillāt)." Somebody is to be informed about the types of crops planted, and somebody has embarked on a course of action (...dhālika. Wa-sharaʿa fī ʿamalihī wa-injāzihī....). There are also a few lines of Arabic interspersed between the wide spacings of the petition, probably from later reuse or annotations, though the hand looks similar to the main hand. The first interspersed line bears a date: Thursday 19 Muḥarram 550 AH = 25 March 1155 CE. Another line refers to "the deposited gold" (al-dhahab al-mawduʿ).
