מכתב יפהפה של ידידות חמה ששלח אדם מאפריקיה (אפריקייה / תוניסיה) אל ידידו במצרים. הנמען הזמין ספר תורה וספרים נוספים, אך הכותב היסס לשלוח אותם בסוף עונת השיט בים, מחשש שייגרם להם נזק ממים. הוא מבהיר כי לא הזניח את העניין, אלא בכוונתו לבצע את המלאכה במתינות ובנחת במהלך החורף.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Beautiful letter of warm friendship sent by a man from Ifrīqiya to his friend in Egypt. The recipient had ordered a Torah scroll and books, but the writer was reluctant to send them at the end of the seafaring season since they might suffer water damage.
