הודעה על "יום הגניזה" שבו ספרי תפילה ישנים שאינם ניתנים לתיקון יועברו אל המערה בבסאתין. הטקס יתקיים בשעה 8:30 בבוקר בבית הכנסת אלאֻסְתאד' שברובע היהודי, מיד לאחר תפילת השחרית. מתוארך ליום ראשון, 18 בדצמבר 1949 / כ"ז בכסלו ה'תש"י. סריקה מקורית של ההודעה זמינה בפרסום "אלג'ניזה ואלמעאבד אליהודיה פי מצר" (עמ' 200).
Princeton Geniza Project description: Announcement for the Day of Geniza on which old prayerbooks unfit for repair will be transferred to the cave in the Bassatine and the process will take place at 8:30am from the Ustādh Synagogue in the Jewish Quarter after the "Shaḥarit" [morning] prayer.
